Next on the FrameWork menu are foods that minimize inflammation and oxidation. It’s no coincidence that the protein, good carbs, and friendly fats discussed above provide not only the right, balanced nutrition, but also decrease inflammatory and cell-destructive reactions in your body. It is no wonder that the Mediterranean diet is recommended for individuals with arthritis, for instance, because it is packed with anti-inflammatory nutrients. (You might have noticed that junk food, fried food, saturated and partially hydrogenated fats, baked goods, and sweets are nowhere to be found in the diet recommendations here. Those food selections should be avoided like the plague because of the systemic havoc they wreak in your body. They promote the enemy, inflammation, which can be destructive to both your heart and your frame parts.)
Accent your menu with a wide variety of spices that don’t add calories to your plate and make your food tastier as they deliver antioxidation and anti-inflammation support.
Last but not least, a word about hydration. Water makes digestion possible; it is a solvent for nutrients and transports them everywhere. It assists muscle contraction and serves as a shock absorber all over your body, especially in those disks between vertebrae. Water regulates your body temperature and eliminates waste products. And, for all you weight battlers out there, it fills you up and neutralizes food cravings.
